1. Call (877) 443-5227 to order specimen collection kits.
2. Draw blood samples and ship to Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. With an appropriate diagnosis, most insurance companies provide coverage for HDL, Inc.’s tests. Medicare patients will likely have no out-of-pocket cost. Phlebotomists will need a refrigerator and centrifuge for preparing and storing blood samples and a freezer for ice packs.
3. Results will be sent to the practice either by fax, mail or electronically. Free support will be provided to physicians, and patients. Clinical Health Consultants with strong clinical backgrounds in cardiovascular disease management & lipid metabolism are available (for no additional cost) to help with test interpretation and in guiding therapy. Web portals and CME courses are available to help further physician education.
