- Who will see my lab results?
By law, your Advanced Lab Test results are private. Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. does not share your personal health information with your employer or health insurance company. We suggest that you share your test results with your doctor for guidance on making changes to your health.
- Why do you need my doctor’s information?
National health care guidelines for patient safety require the name of your doctor in case the lab test shows a result that is life-threatening.
- How will I get my lab results?
Within two weeks of your blood draw, your lab report will be available on our online Patient Portal. If your physician ordered the test, he/she may share the report with you in person. If your employer held a My Health Counts screening, your lab report will be mailed to your home address. Test results are color-coded red, yellow and green to point out your health risks.
- How do I know my Patient ID?
Your Patient ID is located at the top of your lab report in the first box labeled "Patient."

Preparing for Your Health Screening
Fasting Guidelines
- For accurate test results, do not eat food for 8 – 10 hours before your Health Screening.
- Take your regular medications as scheduled with water.
- You may have 1 cup of black coffee the morning of the screening, with no cream or sugar.
- Be sure to drink water and come well hydrated. Healthy snacks are provided after the screening.
Lab Requisition Slip
- Print and bring your lab slip that you downloaded when you registered for the Health Screening. Please check that the information about your doctor is correct.
Clothes and Shoes
- For an accurate Body Composition reading, you will need to remove shoes, socks, and hose.
- The scale measures body fat percentage through bare-skin contact.
- For the blood pressure reading, many people prefer to wear short sleeves or loose-fitting long sleeves that can roll-up easily.
