Health Diagnostic Laboratory Inc. Announces Partnership with VCU Massey Cancer Center

RICHMOND, VA. (December  20, 2011) – Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. (HDL, Inc.), a CAP accredited leader in health management, has announced that it will partner with VCU Massey Cancer Center as title sponsor of the Massey Challenge, the fundraising program held in conjunction with the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by MARTIN’S. The 10k will be held on March 31, 2012.

 

The HDL, Inc. Massey Challenge presents an opportunity for the more than 40,000 participants in the 10k to use their run or walk to support Massey’s cancer research effort. 2012 is the seventh year that Massey has been an official charitable partner selected by Sports Backers, producers of the 10k.

Participants in the 10k have already started registering for the HDL, Inc. Massey Challenge through the program’s web site, www.run4massey.org. Once registered as an individual or a team, participants can solicit and track donations with the site’s user-friendly email system. In 2011, 1,700 participants raised nearly $500,000 to support cancer research in Richmond.

Each year the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by MARTIN’S sees more and more participants embracing the Massey Challenge. “It’s an important reinforcement that every member of our community is affected by cancer, therefore we all have a stake in finding better treatments and, ultimately, a cure,” said Ginder.
